- Mitte segi ajada 12. sajandi Đại Việti-Khmeeri sõja ega 1970. aasta Lõuna-Vietnami ja Ameerika Ühendriikide sissetungiga Kambodžasse.
Kambodža-Vietnami sõda oli relvakonflikt Pol Poti punaste khmeeride Demokraatliku Kamputsea ja Vietnami Sotsialistliku Vabariigi vahel. Sõda algas Kamputsea Vabastusarmee sissetungiga Vietnami edelaossa, ainuüksi Ba Chúci veresauna käigus tapeti üle 3000 Vietnami tsiviilisiku.[3] Punaste khmeeride 19-st diviisist 10 avas 23. detsembril 1978 Vietnami edelapiiril tule, eesmärgiks oli vallutada Kiên Giangi, An Giangi ja Đồng Thápi provintsid.[4] Kaks päeva hiljem, 25. detsembril 1978 käivitas Vietnam täiemahulise sissetungi ning kahe nädalaga õnnestus kogu Kambodža okupeerida ja Kambodža Kommunistlik Partei võimult kukutada. Sellega lõppes ka 1,2–2,8 miljonit inimelu (13–30% rahvastikust) nõudnud Kambodža genotsiid.[5][6]
