Mait Metspalu (sündinud 24. augustil 1975) on eesti evolutsioonigeneetik.

2005. aastal kaitses ta Tartu Ülikoolis doktorikraadi teemal "Through the course of prehistory in India: tracing the mtDNA trail".

Alates 2005. aastast on Mait Metspalu Eesti Biokeskuse teadur. Teadusprojekti "Eesti Genoomikakeskus" juht, mille eesmärk on Eesti Geenivaramu genoomiandmestiku ja tarkvaralahenduste täiendamine ning referentsgenoomiandmestiku loomine teiste populatsioonide baasil, pakkudes vajaliku konteksti Eesti Geenivaramu genoomiandmestikule.[1]

Isiklikku

Mait Metspalu isa on Eesti Geenivaramu direktor Andres Metspalu.
