Barry Parker
Barry Parker (sündinud 13. aprillil 1935 Pentictonis Briti Columbia provintsis Kanadas) on Kanada päritolu USA füüsik ja teaduskirjanik.[1]
Ta on Idaho Osariigi Ülikooli emeriitprofessor. Tema peamised uurimisvaldkonnad on üldrelatiivsusteooria, mustad augud ja kosmoloogia. Tal on uurimusi ka DNA füüsikast ja ta on ülikoolis õpetanud teiste ainete kõrval ka biofüüsikat.[1]
Ta on avaldanud 25 raamatut, neist enamik populaarteaduslikus žanris. Tema esimene teadusraamat oli 1986. aastal ilmunud "Einstein's Dream: The Search for a Unifed Theory of the Universe" ('Einsteini unistus. Otsimas Universumi ehituse ühendteooriat')[1]

Ta lõpetas Briti Columbia Ülikooli bakalaureusekraadiga füüsika erialal. Ta kaitses magistrikraadi Briti Columbia Ülikoolis tahkisefüüsika alal ja doktorikraadi Utah' Osariigi Ülikoolis osakestefüüsika alal.[2]
Ta töötas 30 aastat kuni emeriteerumiseni Idaho Osariigi Ülikoolis füüsika ja astronoomia professorina.[1]
