Tere! Miks tühistasid? Miks asendikaart ei sobi? Mallis on ette nähtud võõras kirjas omakeelse nime järele transkriptsioon. Samuti, kirillitsas on täpsem, sest ka sulgude ees olev sama nimi on ukraina keeles, kuigi ladina kirjas, ja märkus ukraina keeles pole teisel juhul eristav. 193.40.10.180 22. jaanuar 2014, kell 13:56 (EET)

Hi! Unfortunately I don't understand Estonian language. With map everything is OK. But better wtite language, not kirillitsa. Kirillitsa is diferrent in Ukrainian, Russian or Bulgarian. For example in Ukrainian it's Стратіївка, in Russian Стратиевка. So, writting ukraina keeles is more correct in this case. --Visem (arutelu) 22. jaanuar 2014, kell 17:17 (EET)
Stratijivka is also in Ukrainian, though converted into Latin script, so ukraina keeles isn't distinctive, kirillitsas on the other hand is distinctive for these two forms. This probably isn't important here that there are different kinds of Cyrillic scripts. As far it's not needed to distinguish, say, Russian and Ukrainian alphabet we can assume that Ukrainian name is written using Ukrainian alphabet. 193.40.10.180 22. jaanuar 2014, kell 17:37 (EET)
In Ukrainian and in Russian names sounds different. For example, in languages with latin alphabet, in Wikipedia we have the same name in all languages. For example Lech Wałęsa, Ivan Gašparovič, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Traian Băsescu. All Wikipedias with Latin alphabet just copy names without any changes with letters ł, ę, š, č, ü, ă etc. In Ukrainian and Russian we write this names in cyrillic, and in Ukrainian and in Russian writting can be different. --Visem (arutelu) 22. jaanuar 2014, kell 23:26 (EET)
Understood, but this isn't the case when distinguishing Ukrainian name written in two different scripts. By the way, not all Latin script languages adopt special characters from other Latin using languages, Latvian for example and a few others. 193.40.10.181 23. jaanuar 2014, kell 10:10 (EET)
I convert into Estonian alphabet Ukrainian names, but many people from different countries convert from Russian laguage because they don't know Ukrainian. For example one editor from Armenia made by bot articles about Ukrainian villages, but they converted from Russian script. He said that it should be Ukrainian names, not Russian, but the problem with language. By the way, Estonian language is very good to write Ukrainian names :) --Visem (arutelu) 23. jaanuar 2014, kell 12:26 (EET)

It's OK now. --Epp 27. veebruar 2014, kell 01:32 (EET)
