«Прямоугольное полотнище соотношением ширины к длине 2:3, воспроизводящее композицию герба муниципального образования „Город Верхоянск“ в синем, зелёном, жёлтом, белом и чёрном цветах».

Описание герба: «В лазоревом поле серебряный просечённый волнистый пояс, на котором две зелёных заснеженных серебром, горы (правая впереди), выше которых и между ними серебряная снежинка; все сопровождено вверху — золотым северным сиянием, внизу — идущим серебряным конём».
