Флаг района представляет собой полотнище, ширина и длина которого соотносятся как 2:3, на всю поверхность которого распространена композиция из гербового щита района с заменой геральдического золота жёлтым цветом, а геральдического серебра — белым; ширина верхней жёлтой полосы флага, соответствующей главе герба, составляет 1/3 ширины (высоты) флага.
