Mait Metspalu (sündinud Tartus 24. augustil 1975) on eesti evolutsioonigeneetik.

2005. aastal kaitses ta Tartu Ülikoolis doktorikraadi teemal "Through the course of prehistory in India: tracing the mtDNA trail".

Alates 2005. aastast on Mait Metspalu Eesti Biokeskuse teadur. Ta oli üks 2010. a. ajakirjas Nature avaldatud Aškenazi juudid|aškenazi juutide] Teadusprojekti "Eesti Genoomikakeskus" juht, mille eesmärk on Eesti Geenivaramu genoomiandmestiku ja tarkvaralahenduste täiendamine ning referentsgenoomiandmestiku loomine teiste populatsioonide baasil, pakkudes vajaliku konteksti Eesti Geenivaramu genoomiandmestikule.[1]
