Solfataar ehk väävliallikas on väävlirikkaid gaase eraldav fumarool.

Terminile "solfataar" andis nime Napoli lähedal paiknev Solfatara vulkaan,^[1] mis tegutses viimati aastal 1198.^[2] Solfatara vulkaani ja selle fumaroolide ümber sadestunud väävlikogumeid kirjeldas esimesena Plinius Vanem.^[3]
