1987. aastal valiti Andrus Park Eesti Teaduste Akadeemia korrespondentliikmeks.

Ernst Gellner [1] kirjutas tema kohta: “It is of course impossible to comment on the essay by (…) Andrus Park without speaking of his extremely tragic and terribly premature death. Andrus was a young man, whose combination of intellectual ability and integrity with great personal charm destined him to play a major part both in the life of Estonia and in the international world of thought and letters. His quiet charm and intellectual warmth has gained him many friends in London and Washington as well as in Tallinn and Tartu and Moscow. It is sad to have to say goodbye to him” [Gellner, E. (1994). Reply to critics. In J. A. Hall & I. Jarvie (Eds.), The Social Philosophy of Ernest Gellner (pp. 623-686). Amsterdam: Rodopi B.V.].
