Royal Bank of Scotland (gaeli keeles Banca Rìoghail na h-Alba) on Royal Bank of Scotland Groupi jaepangandusega tegelev tütarettevõte.
Pank asutati 1727, aga tema ajalugu algab varem. 1700. aasta aprillis läks Company of Scotland suurejooneliselt pankrotti, likvideerides umbes veerandi kogu Šotimaa likviidsetest vahenditest. See paiskas paljud šotlased võlgadesse. 1707 ühinesid Šotimaa ja Inglismaa ühiseks riigiks, kusjuures tingimuseks oli, et Inglismaa hüvitab šotlastele Company of Scotlandi pankrotistumisest tekkinud võlad. Selleks, et oma huve paremini kaitsta, asutasid võlgnikud samal aastal ühingu nimega Society of the Subscribed Equivalent Debt. See ühing muutis 1724 oma nime, asendades sõna society sõnaga company, ja soovis 1727 pangandusega tegelema hakata. Konkureeriv Bank of Scotland protestis selle otsuse, rõhutades nime sarnasust, aga Inglismaa valitsus kahtlustas Bank of Scotlandi valitseva dünastia kukutamist soovivate jakobiitide soosimises ja otsustas Royal Bank of Scotlandi kasuks.
1728 sai Royal Bank of Scotland esimeseks pangaks maailmas, kes hakkas andma arvelduslaenu.
Royal Bank of Scotlandi peakorter asub Edinburghis. Esimese kontori väljaspool Edinburghi avas ta 1783 Glasgows. Esimese kontori väljaspool Šotimaad avas ta 1874 Londonis.
Pank annab tööd enam kui 140 000 inimesele.
