Rio Tinto Group

Rio Tinto Group on Briti-Austraalia kaevandusettevõte peakorteritega Londonis ja Melbourne'is.

Ettevõte rajati 1873. aastal, mil rahvusvaheline konsortsium ostis kaevanduskompleksi Hispaanias, Huelvas, Rio Tinto jõe ääres.

Lisaks maavarade kaevandamisele tegeleb Rio Tinto nende, iseäranis boksiidi ja rauamaagi, töötlemisega.

Tegutsetakse kuuel kontinendil, kuid peamiselt Austraalias ja Kanadas.

Rio Tinto Groupi aktsiad on noteeritud Londoni börsil, aktsia kuulub FTSE 100 indeksisse.
